anyone else been a serious car accident pregnant?

With my first son (who is now 7 months) my bf and I were in a car accident (3 cars involved) I.was 36 weeks and honestly I didn't have a seat belt on..many people told me it was unsafe being as big as I was that it could harm him..( true or false?) Anyway we were giving someone a ride home and needless to say if he wasn't in the car everything wouldn't have been so bad it was a two door car so the seats push forward..so this idiots reaction was to push my seat like he was protecting himself..idk so I flew forward into the windshield was rushed to the trauma center by ambo..lights sirens and all.. needless to say the scariest experience of my life..my son was in perfect condition thank god! MY FIRST INSTINCT WAS KNEES UP to save my stomach from hitting which Drs said was good! I ended up just having a huge chunk of hair ripped out..cuts on my head and some pretty nasty bruises on my legs from the dash.. we still thank.god our son was okay. I remember crying everynight because I knew there where such higher risk that something could happen from the impact..needless to say I was induced just for safety precautions..but I'm 20 weeks again with my 2nd son and now that my stomachs growing I'm terrified of the car..not just for me and the unborn baby but my first born too.. I'm constantly yelling at my bf to slow down, don't do this, don't do that! And I can't help but worry I know he's driving careful but other drivers have me so peranoid I don't want to be in the car! Any suggestion on how to make car rides a lil less nerve wrecking? ( sorry this was so long.)

That sounds absolutely terrifying! I'm sorry that happened to you.. I agree with the above post about trying to relax.. maybe get separate headphones of music just for you that can help to calm you.. and play on your phone.

False about seat belt. You should always wear one, deff when Pregnant.
And you yelling and telling your bf how to drive is a lot more dangerous then saying nothing at all. I would say to relaxand do something when your bf is driving. Like read a book or play on your phone. oh and no matter how far along you are, always wear a seat belt! im 38wks and still wear one. Sorry im not much help :/
