And I think that's where the prenatal vitamins come into play, iron defiency or however it's spelled but they will tell you if you're iron is low, mine never has been but I like to chew ice! My hubby gets mad at me for it cause he says I crunch too loud but he dips and I hate hearing him spit all day!!
Cravings for both dirt & ice is a sign of SEVERE iron deficiency. Please talk to ur dr
My friend craved dirt throughout her pregnancy, didn't find out until after it was due to an iron defficiency. You may want to start eating more iron-rich foods
I have a weird craving for baby powder lmbo
Well from time to time I take my kids chewy vitamins but idk they gave me some when I first got pregnant each time at the doctor but you and I aren't the only ones. Some people get sick from them and some don't take them at all.
Ive never taken a prenatal vitamin in my life and I'm on my third pregnancy. Some people live by them but I don't understand them.
Thanks Ladies I haven't eaten dirt jut yet but the craving has gotten soooo bad that I even dream about eating dirt lol. :( I don't want it to harm my babygirl and I did forget to menton that I don't take prenatals. :( shame on me I Know the reason I haven't is because I've been very sick with this pregnancy
You should deff consult your doc about it. Pica is very common durin pregnancy, normally just means your body is lacking a nutrient and its tryin to get you to replace it. However I do not recomend eatting dirt. Dirt can contain chemicals from sprays, fecies, urine, and all sorts of things you dont want to chance with.
The dirt I've cn alotta woman eat dirt lol durin pregnancy, even the chalk frm the blckboards, its a lack of smthn thts mkn u eat it dnt wori its nt uncommon my frnd ate dirt lol wen she ws preg an she lacked iron in her diet, so dnt wori
I eat ice chips all day long and with every pregnancy which is a sign of nutrients missing from your body is what I've been told. But I don't know about dirt. They say god made dirt, dirt don't hurt. Lol, but also there could be fecal matter in dirt, etc. I would definitely ask your doctor thpugh
