anyone suffering from pica?

I've been craving chalk lately. I know that it's a horrible thing to eat but sometimes the thought of chewing it literally makes my mouth water. I feel like I sound so crazy haha but it's true.
I thought about just chewing a piece but not actually swallowing any of it so that me or the baby won't digest it.. anyone else had similar odd cravings??

I believe when you crave something other then food it means you have a deficiency of some kind,
Like you're lacking a mineral or vitamin, or low iron etc.
Tell your dr so you can know what you are lacking and they can help fix it,.and get Rid of weird cravings

Talk to your doctors ladies.. it may be a sign of a nutrient deficiency. (Iron, magnesium etc.) I'm Anemic and low in Iron and used to crave fabric softener. Your doctor can put you on a Prenatal vitamin +Iron. Hope this helps

I crave baking soda so I talked to my dr and she said its okay for me to get a mouthful and just chew it and spit it out. Its so hard to spit it out lol I love love love the way it tastes and feels. Im hoping once I have the baby I dont crave it anymore bcuz I have to have it every day and its so time consuming and weird lol

I crave soaps soo bad. Like conditioner and laundry soap. They just smell soo good and make my mouth water.lol i do occasionally taste the conditioner,  I just always spit it out. It deffffinately helps the craving.

That's exactly how I feel!! My mom said she craved dirt too when she was pregnant lol.
My bf thinks its so weird and keeps saying "you better not!"

Ive been craving bakibg soda/powder & dirt Lol it suuuucks so much self control is needed man! I feel like an addict or something
