Not paranoid, just worried and a have a question

I just went to the bathroom and put my finger in b/c I felt wet and there was all this weird white discharge but it was REALLY grainy. I kept putting my finger in to check whether it was maybe tissue (from yesterday's vaginal ultrasound) and the grainy discharge kept showing up. Also, slightly concerning was a bit of brownish blood colored into the discharge. It was not red at all and i could only see it after checking with my finger twice and after that it didn't show anymore.

anyone have any ideas of what the brown blood/mucous is from and the grainy discharge?

I'm glad you feel better about it. I'm sure all is well! Oh, TMI, but I have noticed if I am constipated, I will have more discharge than normal as well. ;)

Take it easy!!

thanks girls! So relieved!! I"m very lucky in that my doc's office is in the same plaza/parking lot as where I work so I can literally hop over, which I did after typing this, just to ask a nurse. She said I could use Monistat if i thought it was a yeast infection but that the fact it was just a little bit of brown blood caused her no alarm b/c sometimes the cervix just releases things and it could be just that.

Your suggestion of irriated cervix makes since Chantal21 and I'm wondering if maybe when i tried going to the bathroom earlier this morning (#2) i didnt cause my cervix to flush out some stuff (ya know...cuz of constipation...lots of pushing. hehe)

thanks so much girls...i feel better!!

I have been getting checked every week with this pregnancy since 27 weeks and I think it could have been the gel. Everytime my doc checks me, the entire day I have weird discharge along with brown bits in it. It's probably just the gel coming back out and vag. u/s could have irritated your cervix just a bit.

Perhaps the gel they used during the vag. ultrasound.

I am getting something similar. I did with all my pregnancies! Once again blame it on hormones. as your body produces those hormones and as your pregnancy progresses as in developing the mucus plug, placenta etc you get discharge as well as some women experience spotting. which can also be normal. because u got so close to your cervix where you mucus plug is developing probably explains why you saw the little brown spotts of blood.

if your discharge doesnt itch or smell and if you dont have heavy bleeding with/without cramps, then its probably all normal. if you get more concerned just see your doctor!
