Mucus plug
Is it possible to lose your mucus plug at almost 30 weeks? I remember when I lost mine with my first pregnancy and I think I just lost mine with this one but it seems too early. What happens if I did lose it? Does that mean I'm at risk for preterm labor?
Its a thick show sometimes bloody. my midwife said it looks like snot! It sits at the bottom of your cervix entrance to prevent infection.
MY DOC IS ACTUALLY THE ONE WHO TOLD ME IT REGENERATES AND WHN U LOOSE IT IT IS NOT A SIGN OF LABOR IF IT WAS THEN I WOULD BE FULL BLOWN IN LABOR AFTER LOOSING THE WHOLE GLOB YESTERDAY
When u lose Ur mucus plug it doesn't grow back... It is solemnly there to seal off the small opening in the uterus from bacteria n infection from traveling into the uterus that can reach Ur placenta n so forth. It also poses as a labor signal... When that time comes... To let u know..."hey Ur body is preparing for labor"... The time varies frm woman to woman...so ladies keep this in mind... Ask Ur dock!!!

i lost my plug for months with my first. it is fine, your body regenerates the pieces that you lose so you shouldn't go into pre term labour because of your plug slowly coming out. mention it to your doctor though when you go in next as this is information he or she should know about.

IVE BEEN LOOSING MINE IN PIECES SINCE 32WEEKS IT REGENERATES AS IT FALLS OUT I LOST THE WHOLE BIG BLOODY SHOW YESTERDAY AND IM 38WEEKS BUT NO UR FINE DNT WORRY WOMAN LOOSE THERE PLUG AS EARLY AS 20WEEKS
