Im sitting ready for this pregnancy to be over. Well my contractions were 6minutes apart consistent and strong. But after being watched for 2 hours i did not dilate. So my doctor said i just have to deal with the contractions because Im still early and there's no medical emergency to induce me. So i have a hell of a few weeks or days left.
Same thing happened to me. The machine said my contractions weren't strong enough to indicate any reason I was in labor, (even tho my contractions felt like they were ripping a hole through me and i was in tears lol) when I got to the hospital at 9 pm they were five minutes apart and I was only dilated 2 cm. They told me they would check me again and if there were no changes i had to go home. So i got up and started doing jumping jacks and squats lol. By 8 AM the next morning they were 2 minutes apart and I was dilated 6 cm, gave birth that day! So just be very active!
Walk until u can't walk anymore ! I was sent home twice BC I wasn't dilating enough.the nurse told me that u get contractions for two things. One is to push baby down into position and the other is to dilate. So they said walk as much as possible and bounce on a exercise ball to help baby drop.
Thanks for the info and advice..i will definitely be active and jumping jacks.
I've been.walking but i need to invest into getting an exercise ball.
Yoga balls work perfectly!!!! That's how I jump started my labor. The morning of my due date I bounced on a yoga ball for about ten minutes. A couple hours later I lost my mucas plug and then started having contractions. Yes, I would definitely invest in one!!
Im 36 weeks. Due January 16th.
