Glucose Test This Monday and absolutely nervous of what they may say....

I have my glucose test coming up soon.. in 6days and I am just terrified of what they are going to tell me. What if I have gestational diabetes :( [knock on wood] what does that even mean? I'm not sure what to do to prepare myself for this test or the night before. I am slowly turning into a nervous wreck. Please help me understand what it is?

Different doctors do different tests. If they told you to fast then don't eat, if they didn't then don't worry about it. Even if you do have gestational diabetes (which isn't super common) you will be just fine. You would just have to monitor what you ate.

Oh ok because I did read up a little where it said don't eat before the test but my doctor told me don't do anything different and just come in which really confused me! But thanks alot! :)

Dont eat before you go. Dont worry if you fail the first test. I ate before I went because the doctor told me to, but the lab tech told me that I shouldn't have. I failed the first test & had to go back for the more extensive 3 hour test, which I passed. My friend was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. She sees a nutritionist & monitors her sugar with a test kit. She has controlled her no problem with a strict diet.
