I didn't decline, they said I didn't need it because of my age. So I'm sure its fine.
I don't have much to go off of, because I declined the other Downs testing earlier in my pregnancy. I will be very curious to see what my doctor has to say!
You're right though, it is a marker, but it isn't a big deal if not accompanied by other markers or things of concern. Like brain development and such. I'm sure its nothing! My doctor told me she has seen them go away far into the 3rd trimester.
They told me the same thing, I went to a perinatal specialist I believe? They have better ultrasound machines there, and according to the specialist the spots where nothing and she didn't see any other signs that would point to downs. You need a doctor refferal in Arizona to go to that specialist, not sure if its like that everywhere.
I'm self pay so ill pay for it out of pocket if necessary
I'm 22w. All the tech said was she did the best they can and if they want another scan, they will order one.
I saw my doctor two weeks later and she didnt say anything :( I see her again on the 10 and I will ask her about it then
Try not to stress it until u see Ur doctor. I guess techs are not allowed to comment on those things bc I had something similar happen but all turned out well
Im having the same problem with my little princess. They told me that there is a 5% chance of her having down syndrome. How far along are you? I want to get another scan to see if her white marker has gone away, but I dont know if my insurance will cover it :(
