list of no-no's ??

I go to my first appt Monday morning... this is my first pregnancy and just want to do everything right and be healthy. Well, some of this stuff is driving me nuts!! It seems like everything i eat, i go online and its saying avoid! Most recent- fiber one bars because of the chicory root. And that Will cause miscarriage.
How much should i read into these things?? Im hoping the doc helps ease my mind too!

I eat fiber one bars everyday because of my iron levels. I eat lunch meat all the time. And I'm 30 weeks...so Idk what to tell u

I eat fiber one bars because my prenatal vitamins make me so constipated, and my ultrasound yesterday shows that I have a very healthy, thumb-sucking baby. Don't fret too much :)

Let me just say I ate fiber one bars and I'm now 37+4..lol don't listen to just any website

One more thought... it's very important to be able to relax and enjoy the pregnancy. Fretting over everything you eat and worrying won't let you do that. So this is one area I would say NOT to research too much.

Don't worry so much. We are far too paranoid in the U.S! Also, don't do too much research. They feel it necessary to warn about every tiny possibility, though some are incredibly slim! I believe it's about moderation and common sense. Don't take anything to an extreme, have faith in your body and the pregnancy process (it truly is amazing). As far as eating, follow a healthy, balanced diet (the more things with the fewest possible ingredients, the healthier it is). If something seems questionably prepared, don't eat it. If you would question it not pregnant, don't eat it.

Anyway, that's my approach. I have a super healthy, normal son and have been having a smooth, normal second pregnancy.
