Question about baby and water?

I was wondering when or if you could ever stop boiling water for your baby? My son is 5 months old and hes been breastfed and only just started solids within the last month.. I bought him a sippy cup and wondering if I could just put tap water in for him to wash down a meal and help teach him how to properly use the sippy cup. Thanks :)

I read aome where to either use distilled water or boil it for 30 because tap water has too much bacteria. I also read on another blog that said babies should drink water alone due to water poisoning.  Im a ftm mom and read this while preggo. Baby is 4 mon next week and is on beast milk only till I no longer can produce.

My first wouldn't take the *** so he was bottle fed, I used purified water. I still don't like to give him tap water of course, the water around here is high in toxins and tastes weird. It'll be the same with this one if he doesn't take it.

I would personally use bottled water but maybe other mommas will have a diffrent opinion.

I've never boiled water for my babies. All were on powdered formula mixed with just plain water straight out of the tap.
