Once you have bv once & its treated.. during labor you will be given antibiotics through iv that will protect baby.  Its a precaution. Baby will b fine.

Bacterial vaginosis is common during pregnancy and is caused by an overgrowth of bad bacteria in the vagina (everyone has both good and bad bacteria in the vagina usually much more good than bad) its important you treat it or you run the risk of preterm labor or even having the infection spread to your amniotic fluid

Depends on the bacteria, normal vaginal flora will not harm the baby during delivery. If you have a STD or other type on infection those can sometimes be transmitted to baby during birth.
