agree with Actrighht. I wasn't taking mine & two of  teeth chipped & cracked. But I'm waiting until my daughter is born so I can get dental work. But if the pain is unbearable, talk to your ob to see what he recommends you to do

I had a root canal done back in November. I was about 4months. They gave me the numbing shot but a very low dosage. Talk to your Dr. And they should recommend what kind of numbing meds to use.

i have a bad tooth, I am very afraid of dentists, and now to make matters worse I am afraid of going because of the baby too, but my husband got me an appointment next week, but I think I am going to just ignore it.

You can have it done but they can't give you any laughing gas or anything, just the numbing shot. Talk to your ob about it in the morning and see what they say before making a dentist appointment. And once you do make a dentist appointment be sure to let EVERYONE know you're pregnant. Ask the desk girl to make a note on your file, tell the hygienist and the dentist. Ask about all of your options and make sure they are safe before you have any procedures.

They can normally do work as long as they don't have to put you under for it. I need my wisdom teeth out, but they have to put me under for it so I have to wait. Go talk to a dentist and let them know you're pregnant, and they can tell you what exactly they can do to help.
