Extreme back pain

I have scoliosis and ive heard alot of woman who have it get something called "Back Labor" Ive had a few episodes where im standing and for some reason i get this achy feeling in my back, then it goes to searing pain and i collaps into fetal position cause its the only way to not make my back hurt. The pain lasts about 3-5 mins.. And i cant get up. My hubby has had to lift me out of the shower a few times.. Then the pain dies down a bit but im stuck with a sentive back all day. My doctor says its fine and i could take a few more vitamins. But never gives me a real answer as to why... Does anyone else have this happen to them? Or heard of "Back Labor"? Im sure that not the right term for it.. But does anyone have something similar?? I feel i should go see a back doctor if it continues more... Help..

I have scoliosis as well and with my first baby i had back labor. It's excruciating. If you're having pain like this now, you should definitely see a doctor about it and see a physiotherapist asap. Also make a few appointments for after you have baby with the physio. And definitely seriously consider an epidural during your labour or even speak to your midwife about whether a c-section would be an option. Good luck and I hope your pain eases and your labor goes well.
