If you have them, get your house professionally treated ASAP! Do NOT try to get rid of them yourself....they're almost impossible to kill and breed like crazy. My parents tried store bought stuff since they had a mild case, but within weeks the whole house was infested. Don't mess around! Remember though, its not a reflection in hygiene...even high end department stores have had infestations.

You get them from hotels/motels or other peoples houses you have stayed in and they come back to your place in your clothes *****!:/

Ugh they are absolutely awful!! I had them once from the neighbors kids and they are so hard to kill. I tried everything, bug bombs, burning them, spraying rubbing alcohol.. it never worked.

In the end, vacuuming daily and washing the bedding often solved the problem. Leave your bedding in the dryer and extra hour longer, and vacuum every nook and cranny. They love to hide so check the inseam of your mattress too, same for the couch. We wound up tossing our couch and getting a leather/plastic one because they didn't like that for some reason.

The bite looks seriously like a mosquito bite and it won't ever be just one. For me the bump only stayed an hour or two before vanishing. My ex was super allergic though, his stayed for days.
Our landlord wouldn't pay for an exterminator :( hopefully yours does!

Spray 90% alcohol over everything, there are bombs spcefically for bed bugs that you can use for your home.

Someone gave me a bassinet with bed bugs on it and i didn't know till i brought my baby home and the first time she woke up in the night there was one on her swaddler and when it looked over it saw 2 more crawling on the bassinet. I just threw the whole thing outside and cried for a few minutes. Then i put her in bed with us and now it's hard to break the habbit! But bed bugs are ruthless.
