No the corticosteroids shot is to help the baby develop faster just in case the baby does decide to come early

Does The Preterm Shot Not Help You To Stop Dilating?

The preterm shot, like the corticosteroids shots? For the baby to develop? ? I got those and it really didn't make me feel different or anything at all, why would you be scared?

Don't get too discouraged! A lot of women actually end up making it to their due date getting a positive on that test. Everyone told me they didn't even think id make it till March and I'm almost there! They don't know what they're taking about, babies like to come when they are ready so I'm guessing I will end up making it full term and hopefully you will too

I was with my 1st from 25 weeks on I delivered him at 35 weeks. I had a kidney infection that sent me into preterm labor. I'm 12 weeks tomorro with #2 and Im already fighting another kidney infection and I'm super worried :/

I Just Hope We Make It Past The Baby Shower At The End Of March But One Of My Friends In Nursing School Said She Doesn't Even Think I'll Make It Till April... I'm Due May 31 btw

Yeah mine was Positive too :/ but don't worry too much cause it's been 2 weeks since I've gotten mine and nothing yet. He's being good and staying in there for me. I am dilated 1 cm and 50 percent effaced and I'm hoping at my next doctors appt. It'll still be the same. I've lost my mucus plug but no blood or water breaking yet so I'm very thankful he's hanging in there

I'm On Bed Rest Because I'm Not Dilated Yet But My Cervix Is Almost Completely Softened! :( I Haven't Had Contractions Just Cramping... This Has Been A Very Difficult Pregnancy For Me Ftm And She Ran A Vaginal Test For Preterm Labor And It Came Back Positive That I Could Go Into Labor Any Week Now

I'm on bed rest till the end of my pregnancy and I'm 33 weeks and 5 days. I went into preterm labor at 31 weeks and it was really difficult for them to stop it but they did. I've had on and off contractions Ever since then but other than that im still going so I'm happy! It's kinda boring and I feel lazy but I want my baby boy to stay in there at least a few more weeks (: why are you on bed rest?
