belly piercings

How many of you have belly piercings and regret not taking them out? I have my belly pierced and have refused to take it out. I put a "retainer" which is a plastic long bar. Its fairly comfortable, but I'm worried about the scar or even it looking saggy once my baby is born. Any input?

I have the top and bottom of my belly button pierced. When i was pregnant with my son in 2009 i put the pregnancy barbells in. I never had any issues. And after my pregnancy my piercings looked the same. Nothing changed. Im now pregnant with my second and Im gonna do the pregnancy barbells again. The holes never stretched for me.

I've had mine peitced for 10 years so I took mine out around 20 weeks so it wouldn't stretch. I did order a maternity ring but it looked like it was gonna stretch thro as well so I jus put it thro every couple weeks to make sure its open nd I'm 34+6 nd its still open... If u have had it pierced for a while I think it will b fine

I've had mine pierced for 9 years and just took it out when I found out ... There's nothing wrong with the piercing at all... I could put on back in if I wanted...

When I was pregnant I took mine out.  Currently it looks like I can put a ring back in but I haven't tried to. Its the only spot that I ended up getting stretch marks  too

I use a maternity ring and I'm 29+3 it doesn't look weird at all. I kept my regular one in until recently I only changed it just in case it would stretch or something? Lol but I've repeirced it so many times that it was already on the darker side. But im not worried about it at all. The only reason I think its noticable right now is cuz my belly ring hole has moved up Lol if that makes sense? When get back to normal I'm sure it'll be back to almost unnoticeable!

@mom2ariana if you ever decide to try and have a belly ring again and need a shorter/smaller bar bell try eyebrow rings! My little sisters use one for their belly button piercings bc they are super petite and regular ones looked weird in their belly buttons, you can't even tell it's an eyebrow ring!

i tried to wear mine but eventually took it out. the piercing did stretch, and after my pregnancy i had to order custom belly rings because they needed to have shorter barbells. well they weren't custom enough, so i eventually gave up the piercing all together.

Black? Was it from the belly ring? Or just darkening of the skin? I hope I have a different experience. I guess either way its not going to look great. If I take it out the hole will be stretched and dark. If I leave it in it will be saggy. Its a lose lose situation.  :(

I still have my regular ring in and im 29+3 weeks, I kept it in with my son also until about 36 weeks. My belly button never looked weird after and doesn't look weird now but my belly button also doesn't pop out while I'm pregnant..I have a deep belly button hole lol

I had mine done since I was 15 and never take it out. The skin looks like an X but I don't care. And after I lost the baby weight it looks really neat

Mine looks fine. I'm 23 weeks and maybe BC Im not huge yet it hasn't stretched much. Is there a difference between a retainer and a maternity ring?

I had my belly button pierced . I took the ring out when I was around 3 months.  Now that my stomach is way bigger the hole is dark and ugly.  I regret getting my belly pierced because I'm afraid that the dark spot will stay even after I give birth ... I also had plans of getting the retainer but I'm happy I didn't , I'm sure it will stretch & look nasty as well
