Birth control pills dried up my milk. Just watch how your milk supply react with them. I had to come off immediately and get my milk supply back up

Yes. My doctor said you just have to wait for your milk to come in. Is gonna get the ten year IUD but I decided to get the three year one that they put on your arm. I hardly remember a lot of things, last thing I need is to try to remember to do the self check on it once a month.

Breastfeeding is a type of birth control its called LAM. It only works if you haven't had a period before 6 months & you exclusively breastfeed. I've used this method with my first,  and it lasted a whole year.  The day I stopped breastfeeding, (her first birthday) I had sex and got pregnant lol after my second,  it didn't work because my period came and I waited a day too late to get birth control,  wasnt until my appt I found out that I was pregnant.

Breastfeeding is just as effective as most daily forms of birth control (pill, condoms, spermicide) but it's really up to whether you want that small risk. I'd suggest combining it with another method (such as condoms or the pill) to increase effectiveness. The thing with breastfeeding is that you have to nurse every three to four hours around the clock, and pumping isn't a good substitute if you're trying to suppress ovulation.

Breast feeding isn't a form of birth control hun (soon2bemommy). My mom told my dad that after she had me because she wanted one more and he didn't. Well that's how they ended up with my brother.

Breastfeeding is not a good birth control because its not reliable especially since you ovulate before you have a period and can be irregular (I had 3 period in 13 months while breastfeeding and on the 13th month I got pregnant). I was on the mini pill last time but was bad at remembering when we were moving. I was also given the choices of the nuva ring and the arm implant. Those are my choices right now given from the doctors offices lactation consultant.

I have some info on my profile about breastfeeding as a form of birth control. It's in my 'journals'. My midwife told me that estrogen free birth control is the safest while nursing. Estrogen can dry up your milk and if it doesn't, might cause issues with baby. Estrogen free versions include the paragaurd iud, the depo shot, and the 'mini pill' (progesterone only daily pill). I'd definitely decide what you want to do before baby comes!

Yes there a a few options, pill, shot, iud... they won'tstart u on birth control until your 6wk check up,  you shouldn't be having sex before that time anyway.
