I am on birth control but have suspicions of being pregnant, because i had unprotected intercourse with my boyfriend. Will a pregnancy test come out positive even if i am not pregnant since the purpose of birth control is to make your body think it is pregnant in a sense?

because the pill makes your body think its pregnant so it might be doing the same as if you were really pregnant cause pregnant women gain weight. I don't really know. I've gained weight of the pill just on my bum and boobs which is good.

How come when on the pill some people pick up weight?

i have gained alot and it makes my tummy look like i am pregnant i just finished my period yesterday so i doubt i could be pregnant.

sometimes it don't show up. Its unlikely your pregnant. You do have pregnancy signs while on the pill because the pill makes your body think its pregnant.

Did you get a positive pregnancy test? If you did, you are probably pregnant. Women do get pregnant while on birth control!

There is a very small chance you are pregnant while on birth control.  These chances are increased if say, you are on the pill and don't take it when you are supposed to or miss a day or two.  And no, your pregnancy test will not come out positive just because of the hormones in your birth control.  Hope this helps.
