birth control pill

i am on the birth control pill and skipped my last period. a week before i came to the next section of inactive tablets my period started which i thought was normal considering i skipped my last, but now i have been having cramps ever since aswell as bleeding and it is still going strong. im really worried and the pain is quite intense at times. it has now been the rest of that week plus 3 days of inactive tablets, im wondering what does this mean? what is going to happen? should i see my doctor?

oh ok thankyou for your help, i will wait til the inactive tablets are over and then see if it stops then.. if it doesnt i will make an appointment or call my doctor. i heard that if you are bleeding on the active tablets like that they arent strong enough dosage or something? that was just the case with one of my friends though, so im sure its all good. thanks again:D

sometimes when you try to skip a period, your birth control does not always work the way you want it to.  I would suggest that you call your doctor and they will let you know what to do.  I did have bleeding in the middle of a pack when i started a different brankd due to insurane reasons, but the bleeding lasted for like 3 weeks and then went back to normal after that
