sex after leep = bleeding

Ok so everyone knows i had my leep done on thursday of last week...and tonight we had intercourse and i bled a little!! Now i am wondering if i should have had sex or not! Funny thing is my doc never mentioned anything about me having sex or not after!!  So i just assumed i was able to do it whenever i felt up to it!! Any ideas on if i should have waited?? I wouldnt have wanted to put myself in the position to get an infection if i wasent supposed to have sex??

i think i was told to stay off sex for 6 weeks, but i ignored this, not a good idea, got an infection, was bleeding for 3 weeks and got pregnant cos of the anti biotics! wouldnt change a thing now! 36+6 weeks pregant! hope everything turns out ok for you!

When I had mine done my Dr. said no sex for 4 weeks and even then i had to be cleared by her first.  I would be sure to check into to make sure you don't cause any damage/infection!  Good luck

I think 6 weeks is the general consensus for waiting to have sex after you have any trauma to your cervix as you increase the risk of infection, not to mention bleeding. So I'd wait a few more weeks! It's weird he didn't mention sex. You could call tomorrow just to double-check and ask.
