birth control?
So my babygirl is almost 8 weeks this past Sunday i started my birth control pills. i personally wanted to try the iud but hubby wasnt having it. Well im 20 years old and this is the first time ill be on birth control. i tried the pill once when i was younger but i only took em for a month cus i kept forgetting to take them. anyway, i was just wondering.. how many of you have been on the pill and did it work? for how long? what were your side effects? amd how long after you stopped taking them did it take for you to get preggo? just wanting to hear some different storir and points of view. thanks ladies and hope yal are doing well (:
Wow everybody getting knocked up on the pill!! umm maybe i gota rethink this lol. i really dont want to have another baby until my daughter is at least 3-4 years old. babydue i wanted the iud but hubby didnt want me to get it i guess cus he thinks it would be way too long before we got pregnant again.. which i dont want to get it and then have to go thru the hassle of getting it removed if we decided to start trying again. thats why i chose the pill. but now im having some serious doubts
I hated the pill. They made me so sick, like morning sickness sick. And I always forgot to take them. I'm thinking of getting the IUD but it makes me nervous be cause of all the controversy on them
I got pregnant at 18 had my son at 19 got on the pill at my 6 week check up found out I was prego when my first was five months old. After I had my second son I got on the pill again (each time taking them at 11am...nvr took antibiotics or anything..) then when my second son was 7 months old I found out I was prego again...I'm 35+2 now with a little girl and needless to say my doc told me pills are out of the question this time. She's suggesting a iud, depo, or the arm implant.
Yepp lol I took them around the same time every morning. And I wasn't ever on antibiotics at all. My Dr. Said it doesn't happen that often. Doesn't mean it'll happen to you but after I had my daughter then I got an IUD and it worked for five years!
@texasbby were you doing everything right? i mean taking them everyday at the same time, no antibiotics stuff like that?
My mom was trying to convince me to get some sort of sponge thing but i had never even heard of it before
Ugh seriously that *****. i hope they dont make me gain any weight. do u remember the names of them?
I had to start birth control really early when i was like 8 due to cyst on my overys so i have tried many diffent things and always went back to the patch
I've tried 3 different kinds of the pill and I gained weight with every one of them. I was off the pill just shy of two years before I became pregnant, but we weren't really trying in that time either.
I hope i dont get any side effects , ive only been taking them since Sunday so i guess we'll see right
I did think about it i was considering it since it would be easier to remember but i heard that it makes you gain a bunch of weight :/ and trust me i dont need any extra weight lol
Have you thought about the patch it was the best for me change once a week for 3 weeks then leave it off one week and got pregnant less than 3 months of stopping
