bleeding after childbirth ?

for everyone who's had a baby vaginally, when do you stop bleeding? it's been 2 weeks since i had my son & it hasn't stopped, and has actually gotten heavier. how will you know if you start your period or still just bleeding from childbirth?

After delivery bleeding is the worse! It likes to play tricks with you!! LOL. One day it will be light, and virtually stop.. then van full force the next day! You can bleed up to 6 weeks, which *****!

No it's perfectly normal to bleed for a while, mine was almost the flow of a period a lot of the time, one day it would slow down and it'd kick right back up the next day, it's no fun!! Hopefully it stops soon for you!

I didn't have my son vaginally, but I bled for almost the full 6 weeks, and it was very heavy for me. I stopped bleeding, then a few weeks later started bleeding again, and that was my first period, and they were irregular for a few months after that.
