blood but no mucus ? help :0

I appreciate in advance if you read and comment back at my question.
So I just went to pee like 5 mins ago, and I wiped once and there was blood on the toiled paper. It was like a few drops of light red, like when you first get your period. A very small amount, I kept wiping for more but nnothing was there. My concerned is, is this was to be me losing my mucus plug shouldn't there been some sort of mucus??. Because there wasn't. Im will be calling my doctor first thing in the morning,  but I need to know if I should be worried or go to the emergency room. I just need to know , because I won't be able to sleep thinking nothing positive about it. Please help I am a first timer ans I am so clueless. Ill be 35 weeks in about 30 minutes.

Sorry im late on keeping yal posted.. so I went to the doctor and she checked me and said I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. She said the bleeding was most likely due to my cervix opening up..

Call labor and delivery and ask to speak to the doctor on call or a nurse.

You should call an on call doctor/nurse now. They will probably ask you to come in. Don't stress yet, just wait until you actually find out the issue. It isn't something I would wait until morning to ask about.
