blood pressure

Anyone else dealing with high blood pressure? I have a machine at home my cardiologist gave me and I use it 3x a day. My last BP reading was really high. I feel hot and basically just terrible. Is there anything I can do at home to fix this or should I go into the clinic

Mine was 170/140 before the dr hit the panic button. So try not to stress!

I have to call my dr when it reaches 140/90 but I am on bp meds and before calling I need to go and lie down on my left side to see if it will go down because I've been over doing it or if its not responding to the meds anymore. I would go an lie down for an hour and see if it goes down. Write down your bp scores and make an appointment in the morning or if really worried pop into the er. Good luck!

I honestly don't think that reading is anything to go to the ER for. Mine was 162/100 at the beginning of my last appt and they didn't see it as an emergency matter. That's just when they gave me the 24 monitor. I'd just relax, drink water and give them a call tomorrow. Unless you start feeling dizzy or faint.

I would call them but it's after hours now and if I would have to go then I'd have to go the e.r.

The evening one is fairly high. Were you active before taking it or did you eat something high in sodium?

I'm dealing with it too :/ I've been on 24 hour blood pressure monitoring I don't know how many times. *****. What was your bp before that was high? Really the only things that work for me are relaxing, drinking lots of water and not being too active. And watching my sodium intake. Not much else helps :/
