I tried several and always went to drop ins I loved them and I'm using them again. They are also sanitary cause u use the bags and like said above u don't have near as many problems with gas my daughter never had gas. She had reflux when she was born and it also cut down a lot on that as well.
i used the playtex ventair i think they were...the ones with the bent neck. they were easy to hold you could hear that he was sucking well and when it was empty.
however, it all depends on if you want to pump or not if you are breast feeding. personally i would wait and see how it goes.
with my first my mom bought me glass bottles (i didn't like them, a lot of them broke!) so i had those on hand but it wasn't until after his birth that we went to the playtex bottles. Most pumps come with their own bottles so it depends on what pump you buy. So i would say see if you can do without bottles if you can and buy them when you choose a pump (if you need one)
i would also suggest going to the breastfeeding forum and ask the ladies there. they are full information and great suggestions. they might be able to help you choose a pump too.
best of luck and have fun shopping!!
Dr. Brown bottles are the best.. I used them with my daughter and I plan on using them with our 2nd
Tommee tippi are the best if your planning on breast feeding coz the teats and just like a boob! I've used these and never had a problem with combination feeding.
We use avent. We tried Dr. Brown's bottles, but we did not like them. We also used Playtex air vent bottles and liked them pretty well.
I used the playtex drop ins with my daughter and plan on using the same ones again. The bags can empty so there is no air to cause gas bubbles. I used these while bf also. I swear my daughter never once spit up with these and bf. I've also heard good things about the playtex advent and Dr browns
