Places to have a baby shower

So I'm a ftm and have no idea where I should have my shower...its probably gonna be about 50-60 people and any suggestion would help me out lol its a lil overwhelming being that I'm a real control freak and have to have it a certain way. Any ideas for themes would be helpful as well. Thank u :)

In my town we have them at the school cafeteria, the public library, the county barn, or church.

I think summertime would be good for a cookout! At a park that way you don't have to worry about paying for a venue and can just provide food

Boy themes could be Lion King, Jungle, Dr. Suess, Playhouse Disney, Baby Looney Tunes, Charlie Brown, maybe daddies fave football team, or maybe dinosaurs.

I'm having it April 20th and I'm having A boy, I thought about a park but in April the weather could, go either way and I'm in California so that would be my only concern about having it outside

Do you know the gender? Some gender neautral themes are jungle, lion king, pooh bear, Dr sues. Umm I'm not really sure with that many people! Possibly call around at hotels that have conference rooms see what they would rent it out to you for.

When will you be having it?  And do you know what gender your baby is yet?
I would have loved to have had mine at a park, with cake, chips, dip, burgers, soda... but my baby is a winter baby.  A park is free and all you have to do is provide food.  You have to think about what the weather will be like during that time, and a place with a pravillion (sp?) is always nice.  If you wanted to have an indoor baby shower you could do a community center, those usually have lots of space.. or maybe a buffet restraunt, then you wouldn't have to provide food but anyone that came would have to pay like $10 to eat.
