breastfeeding, ftm..

My babygirl is 5 days old an I had to stop bf due to her jaundice, the doc recommends formula until she gets better. I started pumping today an of course my milk has come in but I'm only pumping about an ounce each boob. Does this mean I won't be able to breastfeed?

Can you not try mixing.... bf as often as possible then top up with bottle....or something like that.
I mixed bottle with bf with my 2nd son.... and he wasn't jaundice.
It just meant daddy could do the evening feeds
Then I slept then bf through the night.

My consultant said that getting less than an ounce per pump session from both sides in normal the first week . So you seem to be doing above average, based off of her opinion.
