(Whoops hit post to soon)
So yeah anyway. Almost every mother who is nursing and/or pumping frequently enough will build up and sustain an adequate supply. You can do it, don't let people scare you out of doing what's best for baby. Don't buy formula - don't keep it in the house "just in case" because those first few weeks are hard and uncomfortable while you're learning and your body is getting used to it but they are the most important weeks as you build a good breastfeeding relationship and a good supply. Supplementing unnecessarily will only hurt you both in the long run. Stay strong, stay stubborn. You can do it! Good luck :-)

I nursed my son for two full years, only reason I dried up is because I got really sick and needed to take strong antibiotics so I couldn't nurse him for a whole week and by the time it was out of my system my milk was gone. I have a friend whose daughter is almost 3 1/2 and still nurses multiple times a day, tandem nursing with her 6-month-old son (yes she nursed all the way through pregnancy).
Almost everyone makes plenty of milk. The "not enough milk" fear is pushed on us by the formula companies that say "well if you reeeealllllly want to breastfeed... you'd better buy formula

As long as your baby is nursing regularly and u pump when ur away your supply can last as long as u need it to. Some moms breastfeed for 2 or more years. It always helps to read up on things that can effect ur supply.
