breastfeeding...

So this isn't a pregnancy question sorry. I had my little man a few days ago and I'm breastfeeding. This is the first one I've breastfed so was just curious how long does it take for the fullness n engorgement feeling to go away n for ur boobs to feel softer but still full of milk lol if that makes sense.  TIA..

That's good,  good job lol. Well so far alot comes out wen I squeeze before feeding so it relieves alot of the pressure n fullness because it's hard for him to. Latch properly when there so hard.  But if it comes to it ill try just pumping a little out to

The first couple of days when my milk came in I pumped out just an one ounce or less just to relieve some pressure. My son is now 2 weeks old and this last week I have not needed to pump at all for relief. So I think you are okay to pump and relieve yourself a little bit.

It can take a few days to a couple weeks for things to get normalized.  Your body will start to get used to how much milk baby needs, and slow down in production to fit babies needs.  Congratulations on your little boy!
