breastfeeding

I was breastfeeding the first week I had my baby but she was eating way more than I could supply and Ihad to puther on formula because I was passing out every time I fed her due to pain medication I was taking due to having an emergency c section.  It has now been almost 3 weeks since I've pumped or tried breastfeeding so my supply is almost non existent.. am I able to build my supply back so I can start I again?

There's ways you can build your supply back up, even if you're completely dry. Google will probably be more helpful for this one.

Eat healthy and often and LOTS of water, at least 64oz a day. I've heard oatmeal works to produce milk and some sort of "mothers tea". Good luck, I hope for the best, glad you're trying to stick to it!!(:

I just plugged in my pump and I am still getting a little bit.  Any advice on what kind of diet will help?

Hmmm I'm not sure. It may be possible. I know my baby's pediatrician asked if I wanted her help me build my supply back up and this was when my baby was 1 and half wk old. Shes about to be a month old, only on formula now and I still find myself leaking a little. Are you still leaking? If so, maybe you could try pumping and see if that works, along with drinking lots of water and eating oatmeal.. i would definitely call a lactation consultant! It may be very possible! Good luck! :)
