I'm a first time mom any advice on Breastfeeding ??

I've been breastfeeding for almost 3 months and u love it! I agree with everything the ladies above have said also. If you get through the first 2 or 3 weeks, you're golden! Good luck!

My life has not changed any from nursing my baby except baby goes everywhere with me. You can drink in moderation, one should not hurt but after one I would pump and dump twice then test with an alcohol a trip. I never tested my self I just drank after baby's last feeding (mine slept through the night early on) and pumped twice once I finished drinking before bed by morning I would feed. Any medication I take I can still take and when giving you medications the Dr will give stuff safe while breastfeeding. I only had pain in the nipples for a week or two until I realized how to care for them a.d the only thing that is uncomfortable is the milk let down.

Breast feeding is great I have breastfed four of my five and am still nursing my two yr old and will nurse number six due in February.

Buy a nursing pillow, breast pump and lots and lots of nipple cream that is baby safe. USE THE NIPPLE CREAM AFTER EVERY FEEDING saves your nipples, it helps so nipples will nor hurt. Buy a nursing pillow it saves your back and keeps baby from pulling on your nipples by bringing baby to the breast.

Don't let people scare you away from breastfeeding it is best for you and baby. It is really worth it and it really helps with babies brain growth. My two year old is my smartest and she is the one that nursed the longest. It really is good for you both.

Im pregnant with my 4th, I breastfed all of my children.. your breast can hurt the first few months, as your babies eating routine sets in, your breasts dont engorged as much an your nipples toughen.. I personally love the bonding experience,  and not having to pay for formula. I drank at times as well, but pumped milk before for baby an pumped an dumped so my breast milk had no alcohol. It takes patience and not giving up, but I thunk its well worth it. Good luck !

Yea if you going to do it your boobs will hurt more than now and you can't take anything, can't drink nothing. That's all I know about it from seeing people try to do it.
