c- section = death

Ive had 3 natural births. No medicine at all. And i pride myself on it. And now i have placent priva. Im on bed rest till oct. Or when my dr decideds to do my c section.

Last year my really close friend was pregnant with her 4th baby. She had an emergency c-section. She too delivered 3 children naturally. She kept complaining about pain and being unable to walk and 2 weeks later she died. She was 26 and left 4 children behind. A week before thanksgiving.....

We are both the same age. And im so scared it going to happen to me. Ive never had an epidural, or not be able to get out of bed. Im always moving... its horrible....

Everyday is an obstacle for me. I dont know how to stop feeling morbid. Its gotten so bad i made my husband take out a life insurance policy just in case.

I spoke to my dr. He told me he wpuld take put my uterus if he had to. But what if something else happens.

I had a c section with my first born and am having another one with my second. Dont stress out about it too much. Im sure it had nothing to do with the actual surgery, she must have had an infection  before the surgery that the doctors did not know about. I am truly sorry about your loss.

You might not even need to have a csection, I was diagnosed with a complete placenta previa and it corrected itself. You still have a long ways to go before OCT so it might correct itself. Good luck and try not to stress.

I've had 1 c section, and it takes a massive infection or something major to go wrong to cause death. I'm sorry for your friend, but honestly, you are in the minority when it comes to this kind of situation. Thousands of women all over the world are having them everyday, and death being the cause of a c section is very low. Relax darl, you will he fine :)

I just read an article on Web md about what can cause death after a c section.  I think she waited to long to get it treated. I'm sorry your friend's experience has traumatized you. Most infections after a c section can be treated with antibiotics through a cathider ( misspelled sorry). The death rate is low for woman who have passed after a cathider section.  Just have faith and try not to worry, you are only going to make yourself stress more than you already are. Your doctor will take care of you and if you feel something isn't right after your c section then call your doctor immediately. God bless you and I will pray for you. Just keep positive.

Its just really hard for me to seperate death from the actual c section.

Its giving me major anxiety and stress. I literally broke down in the drs. Office.

I guess its to invasive for me. Maybe because im used to being in control. Or maybe because i saw to many youtube videos on whatthe procedure looks like.

Any advice?

I've had a c section before, I'm sorry about your friend it's so sad. She might of had an infection that needed to be treated immediately.  When you are discharged they gave you are list of reasons to see your ob one of those is any increase in pain. 2 weeks is way to long not to be arable to walk. By day 4 I was are blessed walking without any pain. Do you know what caused her to pass if you don't mind me asking?
