I have one coke a day. And maybe one other caffeine free soda a day. But usually just coke. And then water and juice the rest of the day. I'm 23w and only gained 2lbs so my dr told me to keep doing what I'm doing hahaha.

Caffine always causes a very high percentage in still birth and infant death. I didnt believe it either as my first doctor said I was fine but I did alot of research and I would rather suffer withdrawals then possibly lose my baby. Hope you find the answers u are looking for, and I know how hard it is to give up something youve spent a lifetime doing.

high amounts can also cause cause low birth weight and the baby wont sleep as much when it is born. it also prevents the mother from taking in iron. we already low on iron when we are pregnant.

Caffeine is so bad for a baby. Do some research. Its mind over matter so don't be weak. You'll live without it.

I have one first thing in the morning to help with stomach issues. For years, I wake up with a quesy stomach. No vomiting or nausea really. Just a little quesiness. A soda has always helped me. I switched to Sprite because its like the lesser of two evils. Lol I drink a lot of juices, gatorade and milk for the rest of the day. This is more of a control issue on your part. No one's advice is going to do you any good if you don't get in your own mind set of what you want for youself and your baby.

I do suggest you look up the ingredients in sodas and maybe that might sway your thinking of how badly you want to drink one.

I buy those little cans of coke, I drink once a day. There's only twenty somthing mg of caffine in those, and it usually quenches my coke cravings without taking too much.

I'm curious too, how bad could it really be? Because I drink about three big glasses of Lipton tea a day. I don't drink soda and don't really like the syrup in most juice, so it's either tea, water and some juice. What's the harm?
