Lately i have been drinking alot of coffee and i guess it has an affect on the baby? Do any of you ladies still drink caffeine while preg? Why is caffeine such a bad thing anyway?

I'm drinking coffee or soda once a week or every2weeks. I never liked drinking soda or coffee but that's really my only craving through whole pregnancy I'm 37weeks

I've only heard it hurts the baby if it's insane amounts like drinking energy drinks like monster all day long, I have a small cup of coffee a day and an occasional soda and my little man is just fine :)

Ive never heard of long term affects a safe amount of caffeine has on the baby. I drink either a coffee, or once a week a pop instead. This is my third pregnancy to do this. I just steer clear of mountain dew cause it has higher caffeine and i only have one or sometimes two regular sized cups of coffee a day.

Idk if it is bad but I always drink pop and tea, my doctor knows about it she said that I should not drink that much so I make sure I have a few large hospital cups full of water. Especially when I have contractions I wont drink pop because the pop seems to make it worse.
