They wont cause labor. Take a big drink of water like 2-3 cups. Braxton Hicks should be releaved if you do the opposite of what your doing like if you have been lying down and resting get up and walk around do some stretching, and if you have been active then sit and relax. If the become painfull or take your breath away then head to labor and delivery not ER you will have a less of a wait and the right doctors for your care. Good luck mama.

No they will not cause labour.  Braxton hicks started at 18 weeks with my son and I didn't go into labour until 40 weeks 5 days.  They are completely normal and nothing to worry about.

Not necessarily, at least that is what I have heard. Each woman is different and feel the pain differently. I hear they get more intense over time though. I'm a FTM.

If you get six call into l&d and let them know. They may want to check if they are real or not and they will stop them if they are no need to worry. If you have another one within the hour call and get checked. If not not dont worry about it because its normal.

As long as you don't have six within an hour there is no need to worry about preterm labor. I have been getting them since 20 weeks and my doctor said as long as I don't get six in an hour it's totally fine. Hope this helps ladies.

Braxton hicks are contractions. They are just practice contractions. I never had them with my first 3 babies, but I've had them since 23 weeks this time. Doctor says it's normal & some pregnancies will have more than others.
