washing baby clothes

Is it necessary to wash the baby's clothes before they are born? How many of you guys don't wash them & how many do?

I washed everything my friend didn't and her baby developed rashes all over the doc said it could have been that. Since you never know where  the clothes were before you brought them our wat chemicals the put in them before being shipped to the store. So to be on the safe side I wash everything

That makes sense. Thank you ladies, with my first baby I washed some of the clothes but not all of it. I just never knew why we are supposed to wash them lol

I washed all my little girls clothes an soft toys comfortors. Even tho they where new I still washed them so I knew that they where clean. Its your choice to choose to wash them

I wash them as there sometimes rough on the inside stitching so it softens them up! So there comfy

I washed them how ever I just bought sum n just put them on him but the clothes I washed were from my baby shower so idk where they exactly were thats y I washed them
