Thank u guys i can try a test but we shall see (:
Lol. Nothing wrong with a bit of textbook knowledge
Your words...I wish I had them lol I can't seem to say anything without it seeming bitchy as hell! I blame it on my textbook education :(
oo ok yes that makes since
What she is saying is you can have bleeding that is very much like a period and often mistook as such but a period is defined as the shedding of the uterine lining. If your lining is shedding there is nothing for a baby to attach to
...you can bleed but it's not a period. The period expells everything out of your uterus the lining comes off and out. You CAN have vaginal bleeding but it doesn't come from your uterus
actually you can have a period one of my friends had a period for 3 months and one of my coworkers sisters had a period for 6 months and said she had no idea and had her baby at 7 months and he was a premi i heard stories of alot of women still having a period
Lmao!! Let's calm down ladies. If she is on her period she WILL get a negative pregnancy test. If she still thinks she is pregnant after her period wait 2 weeks and take a test
Calm down, skippy I'm saying a REAL period. I wouldn't want to get blood pee on my hand anyways, dang. She asked I said no you said yes don't crucify me I'm too young to die.
I had a full blown 5 day "period" or what my Dr. Said was my period and I had just got off my IUD 15 days before this happened . But what I'm saying is even if its not a period most people would think it was a period and wouldn't think to test so what would be so wrong in taking a test to be on the safe side?
"No. You can't have your menstrual period while you're pregnant.
Some women do have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy. Some even report intermittent bleeding that seems like a regular period to them. But vaginal bleeding during pregnancy is not the same thing as menstruation.
What's the difference?
Menstruation only happens when you're not pregnant: Each month, your uterus grows a thick blood-rich lining in preparation for an egg to embed there. If you don't get pregnant that month, you shed this tissue and blood – that's your menstrual period.
But once an egg embeds in the uterine lining, hormones tell the blood-rich tissue to stay intact to support the growing baby. And you won't shed it and start having your period again until your pregnancy is over.
Then why do some women bleed during pregnancy?
Bleeding occurs during pregnancy for various reasons, some serious and some not.
Some women have light bleeding or spotting very early in pregnancy – around the time their period is due – and they may mistake that for a period. This so-called "implantation bleeding" may be caused by the fertilized egg burrowing into the blood-rich lining of the uterus. It's generally a lot lighter than a typical period and lasts just a day or two.
You may have spotting after a Pap smear, vaginal exam, or sex. This is because there's more blood going to your cervix during pregnancy.
Bleeding can also be a sign of something seriously wrong, such as a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy, which can be life-threatening. (See our article on vaginal bleeding in pregnancy for a complete rundown of possible causes.)
If you notice bleeding, call your doctor or midwife right away, even if the bleeding has stopped. Many women who bleed a little during pregnancy deliver without complications, but you may need an evaluation to rule out a serious problem.
If you're actively bleeding or have severe pain of any kind and can't immediately reach your practitioner, head straight to the emergency room."
This is off baby center.
Right^ full blown period is a normal period if it's light and like 1-2 days it's prob not a period
Not true bc I got pregnant the day I started my period according to my ultrasound so you never really know what your body has going on! I dont see y you couldn't test I mean either way your going to get a negative or positive and it can't hurt to try
Did u just start your period today? If it seems extremely short (like a day or so) and very light (more like spotting than a period) then you could still be pregnant and it could be implantation bleeding. But like ash said for the most part if you are on your period you are not pregnant. And I wouldn't spend the money on a pregnancy test if its a full blown period
No if you're on your period your uterus is shedding the lining and expelling everything out. So if there was something there not now
