Is this too long to wait to see a Doc?

I am 15 weeks and the last time I saw a Doc was. July 5th I was around 10weeks. And I had a U/S at 10 weeks. I just got a letter in the mail for my first actually OB GYN appontment is not until sept. 15th by then I will be 20 weeks. Shouldn't I have an U/S by then to do all the measurments??? I am just alittle concerned that I not going to be seen by a doc for over two months. Should I be calling and trying to get in early??

You should be seen once a month typically in your second trimester

Yes, that sounds weird to me too. I have my appointments every four weeks, and at my appointment last week I was told my appointments are going to be every two weeks now (I'm 29 weeks)

Um...you should definitely call and see why you aren't being seen sooner, and ask about when your ultrasound should be...it sounds to me like someone's either not doing their job, or completely skipped over the medical history.

I am a high risk, my son was born at 36 weeks with no other problems, then I had two miscarriages, then my daughter was born at 35 weeks with an enlarged NT at 12 weeks, no chronosome problems and bleed though out the pregnancy with her. Then with this one 6 months after I had my daughter I have overactive throids and at 10 weeks (why I got the u/s) I had subchronic bleeding.

I'm not sure if it's too long, especially early in pregnancy. However, if you are high risk pregnancy, this is definitely too long to wait between appointments. My dr visits are every 4 weeks and I am not considered high risk.
Have you had a urine test and bloodwork done? Those are usually scheduled early on.

You can call and ask when they intend to do an ultrasound. You might have it done at 20 weeks when you go, or they might do it at 24 weeks which would be fine as well.

Its common to get the measurement ultrasound between 18-22 weeks.

Hey i had my first ultrasound at 5 week's 4 day's, i haven't seen my baby since i'm going to be 12 week's before i see my baby next which is next Friday, i know how you feel, it feel's like such a long time. Even tho i have epilepsy it hasn't changed anything, and even tho my son was born with a perferated anus (no bum hole) i thought that would want to make them keep a closer eye on this one, so i wouldn't worry to much.
