I'm sorry no one has been reading your posts- please make sure you give your posts a "bump" to the top of the list every now and again if you don't get responses as the forum is busy and some posts can easily be lost.

Anyway, to answer your question- I have gotten pregnant 4 out of 5 times using the EWCM method of determining ovulation. You can have discharge for many days in a row. The last day of EWCM (mucous MUST resemble raw egg whites) is the day you ovulate.

A few other things to remember:
-discharge can range from clear, cloudy, white or yellowish but it is the CLEAR discharge you're looking for as you'll have that right before and during ovulation
-discharge can have textures ranging from sticky, tacky, gummy, and stretchy but it is the STRETCHY (1 inch or more of stretch) discharge you're looking for

So to summarize, look for clear and stretchy CM (1 inch or more of stretch between your thumb and forefinger). And anytime you have any discharge, have sex. Good luck!

oppps meant to say every month 20-25% chance for conception.

Yes, sperm can last up to 5 days in healthy cervical mucus. Norm is usually 3-4 days. if it was indeed egg white mucus u felt on Sept 11 this AM then most likely u will O within the next 24-48 hours. I would definitely have intercourse tonight, tomorrow and day after to catch the ovulation.

Egg white cervical mucus is a good indication that ovulation is near and it is time to do the deed. However just because u had the discharge does not guarantee ovulation occured. Many women opt to do ovulation predictor kits to try and catch the LH surge, once it is detected have intercourse. To then ensure ovulation did actually occur many women will chart their temps to ensure their is a thermal shift ensuring ovulation occured.

If you do not feel like doing all of that then it is a good idea when u feel ovualtion is near to have intercourse every other day.
Every woman a healthy couple with NO fertility issues has a 20-25% chance of becoming pregnant.  Odds are not that good so it is important to know your body well.

Good Luck and sorry that ur posts were overlooked.

This is how it works for me. about 11 days after my period, I start to get like a creamy discharge in my undergarments. This is when hubby and I get VERY busy. A few days after or sometimes during that whitish creamy discharge I get what I call GOOP. It is clear and stretchy and looks like a clear goop...this is when I ovulate. I know that you are not supposed to "do it" everyday but hubby and I do it most days - usually everyday until a couple of days after I get the "goop" and boom... 3x fell preg on 1st try. Now we just have to have the "successful baby and no more mc's. Good Luck - I hope this helped you. I would have never known this if I did not take a catholic wedding course - the one good thing we learned in the weekend course :) but sooo worth it!
