Antibiotics can cause yeast infections, which is why I was suggesting some preventive measures. I definitely wouldn't want a yeast infection in my vagina after giving birth, and if you breastfeed you and baby can pass it back and forth, nipple to mouth and back.
I wasn't asking about treating it now. I know it's early. I just wanted to know exactly what they did when they treat it. Thanks though anyway
32 weeks is really early to treat for group b strep. You could take probiotic supplements and garlic and vitamin c supplements and retest closer to your due date. It will probably clear up by then with some help.
They just put an antibiotic in your IV when you go into labor so the baby isn't harmed. GBS doesn't harm you, it can harm the baby, but that's why they test for it and give you the medicine to stop that from happening.
