does anyone know where i can get an infant car seat? for cheap lol. i looked at walmart and its a little high and target was way to high for me. but i really need one i want to install into the car already. so does anyone know where i can buy a good price car seat?

I agree with kiwi walmarts carseats are pretty cheap. You can get a stroller, carseat and diaper beg for a little over 100 too.

Im not sure where your from but they have a program here in michigan if you go to a certain fire station they give you brand new car seats for $20:)

I got mine from my mother in law and I guess kmart had a sale going one and she got a stroller and car seat combo for less than $100.

A car seat is only unsafe if been in an accident that was labeled as severe, such as the car was unable to be driven away from the wreck. Mine as well as my sister in laws car seats are both used, her little boy is now 5 months and already out of his. However the lady I got mine from gave me all the stuff that went with the car seat including the instructions guide. Most of the time you should be able to tell if someone messed with the carseat, recalls is a different story. Graco had a recent recall issue and that is the kind of car seat I bought, but I checked I to the type and it was fine. I guess it just depends on the person, I know a TON of people who buy used car seats and never have had an issue with them.

In SD fire departments give away evenflo car seats. Check in your area, in most places the state will have programs for free seats. Good quality ones!

I talked to my mom and she said if I got a used car seat she would kill me that she had no problem paying for it. But my thing is I hate that she wants to buy me things I feel I'm the one who needed to provided. But today I'm going into walmart and getting one. Thank you ladies I just didn't think infant car seats cost so much I was surprised.

I agree with MommyG. I wouldn't buy used. Only way I would do used is if it came from someone I knew and of course knew it was never in an accident.

Do not buy a used car seat! Please please please.. For your baby's safety. There are plenty of low income places that will help moms get a good safe carseat. But used I wouldn't not even consider because you don't know if it's been in an accident or if someone has tampered with it. But honestly, the car seat is the LAST thing you want to be cheap about :/

I would just get a used one! They don't stay in them for long, no need to spend a fortune on one. I got mine off of a Facebook yard sale site, car seat and stroller combo was only $125.00! Check consignment shops

I paid $99 for my car seat ( which was on sale) but babies r us decided to continue to sell them for that price. It's the Baby Trend EZ Flex-Loc Infant Car Seat - Edge. They also have some online for $60

Sorry but if you want to buy a good safe carseat for your baby you're going to have to pay atleast 70$ if you want to save a little money you could always look into buying a stroller with a detatchable carseat that way you have both things.

Don't buy a used seat. DON'T buy a used seat. You have no idea whether it's been used properly or whether it's been in an accident which puts strain on the materials making it less safe without looking any different.
Walmart has among the cheapest prices on some entry level carseats that are still safe enough to pass the testing required. Please remember though no matter how tight your budget is a good car seat is one of the most important investments you need to make. You would not put a price on your baby's safety... it is too important.

Burlington has some really cheap ones. If that's still too much, call the hospital and ask if they have a car seat program. Most communities do.

You can always get a used one from craigslist. You just need to check it out make sure no damage and that it's not expired. Or it doesn't expire soon. If you want brand new try Amazon.com they have good deals that's were I ordered mine from and I got a jogging stroller combo for a okay price. Jogging strollers seem to be more expensive. Good luck.

Yeah Walmart is about as cheap as it gets other than that I would check with wic

Here where i live, wic gives them out. There is also a pregnancy help center here that gives them away. I would check around your area to see if they have anything like that.

If your buying brand new it doesn't get much cheaper then walmart. Maybe try talking to your local wic office they might be able to help you find one.
