castor oil?

I am 39 weeks and im wondering has anyone used castor oil to jusp start labor? Did it work?

Ive done alot of reasearch on it. The making the baby poop thing isnt true. Its not in anyway linked to castor oil. And as far as it not working on everyone...it only works when your uterus is acepting to stimulants soyou have to be ready to go into labor anyway for it to work. Thats why i was curious how many people actually tried it and it worked.

I did! I did it at like 3 pm and went into labor at 11 pm. Had my daughter the next morning(: it totally works! Its not harmful to your baby. It doesnt get in your blood stream so it doesnt effect your baby. My friend took it 3 times, her daughter was stubborn, and her daughter was born a normal beautiful baby girl(:

It's not safe if the baby is not ready to come the baby won't try walking sex and bouncing on a ball

It works on SOME people not everyone . I tried it with my first and did not work just had me using the restroom the whole time , and i walked for a couple hours after still nothing . I suggest you just wait :)

I hear it works BUT it is really not safe and very risky. As someone stated above, it can cause ur baby to poop inside of u during labor and may swallow the meconium into the lungs causing breathing problems. I dont think its worth the risk. Doesn't mean it will happen to everyone but you dont want to be that person.

It didn't work for me I drank it around 39 weeks & I had my son at 41 weeks .

I tried it give me the **** & never had him. & when I did have him because I did that it stressed him & he pooped inside me & I had to have extra doctors in the room because of it. Don't do it.

I did with my first and started having contractions  5 hours after I drank it.  Stay active after trying it to help it work!also stay by a bathroom and keep hydrated
