The crib has been set up for like 4 months now and just the past couple days they've been getting in there. I put her bouncer to deter them but they still end up in there. Only one of the cats is mine, I've been taking care of my mom's 2 for 8 months now & she wont take them back. Always has an excuse. One of en is 19 and I've had since before o started school. I don't know what to do with him. If I took him to the shelter they'd put him down :(

Animals can sense your excitement but be careful cat scratch fever is a real thing My fiance had it when he was a baby so be careful It caused him to have to have surgery when he was a baby I'm not trying to scare you I'm just trying to make sure and watch them around baby because they also have a tendency to lay on the baby face hence the phrase take baby's breath away Also if you breastfeed they will try to lick the baby's face and that can also Cause the baby to suffocate

I think the cat sleeping on babies are true i had a kitten for a couple of month and she would sneak into the room my one year old niece would be sleeping in and we would always find her on my nieces tummy. it was cute cuz she was small. :)

I love kittens as well but they are not the best idea when you have a new baby, their urine and feces produce toxics that's harmful to pregnant mother and child. They also can take a baby breathe away. I will get another Kitten when my baby is about 2.

I believe there is a sort of mesh tent like crib cover you can buy to fit over the crib. Not sure if that's an option for you, but other then keeping the door closed at all times there isn't much you can do except try and train her. Good luck!

Try putting like some vics on the doorway. We had a problem with the cat clawing the doorway and cats hate the smell....and now he won't even go near our door. It may work.

i had to give my kitty too cuz she was actin way too much she was scrating us , peeing on the house , jumping on our face while we were sleeping , she made my son' s eye bleed , i finally reached my breaking point when my 4 year old was sleeping in the carpet she came and lay on top of his head in his nose , i was there watching it to see what would happen and my son off course pushed her away but i knew the baby couldnt do that and i was afraid she would do that with my newborn !!

Most everything you hear about cats and babies are old wives tales.  The biggest problem is cats are craters of habit so when things change in their environment they tend to act up.  There is a lot of information on how to slowly get your cat ready for baby during pregnancy.  The ASPCA has info has do many many websites.  Starting now can minimize problems when baby comes.  As with all animals we of course have to watch then carefully around baby and some just won't adjust but most can.  Studies have shown kids who grow up with dogs and cats actually have less allergies.

Oh yes my puppy is 15 weeks and she is by my side at all times. Yes your dog knows whats going on. and your belly is a comfort zone for her with the baby in there she feels like shes protecting both of yall!

My cat did the same thing when I sat up my son's stuff with my first pregnancy..she would get in crib, travel system, swing, everything!! Then when my son came she got so bad, starting peeing in the house and sometimes pooping..she got to where she literally would pee in the house everyday sometimes more then once and would even pee on us in the middle of the night!!! I tried everything changing litter, took her to vet, got her fixed, gave her extra extra extra attention, nothing worked so sadly I had to end up getting rid of her..she was just too jealous of my son..I put up with that for almost 2years :/

My doggie on the other hand has been a dream, she's there to protect me and whenever hubby and I start playing around too loudly she tries to bite him! She always lays near me or my belly. I think she knows something is up but she's being so attentive :) she is a 7lb yorkie/papillon mix

Cats are known to lay bear or on top of babies because of the body heat they produce. Cats love heat, its not thete fault but there have been cases of suffocation because of it. My cats are too fat to jump that high....(they cant even get on my bed half the time and just claw there way up) but its good to kerp baby room a "no pet" zone. Kepping the door closed at all times or maybe try spraying ur cat with water everytime it sets foot in the nursery. The cat will end up not wanting to go in...because it doesnt like to be sprayed obviously lol cats are very independant so they dont get trained very easily

I love my cat and I'm totally not the person to give away a pet but I had to give my kitty away to a close friend and co worker. She was going crazy! Jumping on all the baby stuff, scratching and sleeping on all of the furniture, clothes, anything baby! I was so happy that she wanted her and she is able to care for her because I was beginning to loose my mind, I didn't know what else to do. I wasn't just the baby stuff, it was like she knew that there were going to be some major changes. She was acting out jumping on counter tops, stealing food, among other things...I love her so much but I just couldn't take it. She was going crazy and so was I. She seems really happy now in her new home and I'm glad I can call and check on her whenever I want :)

Idk if its a old wise tale or not but i hear that cats can take a baby's breath away! They are probably just getting excited since your getting close. I had to put a puppy gate up so my puppy will stay out of her room. i bough this shabby "white" rug and my lab seems to love it.
