Yard sales, and consignment stores, i got my crib (the kind that turns into a toddler bed and then an adult bed) for FREE at a church yard sale. In almost brand new condition. Just had one scratch on the leg about 2 inches long.
Its really nice &i pretty much saved 200$ on a crib.
Try a thrift store or consignment store.
Here where I live, there's a pregnancy resource center (sort of like a free clinic for pregnant women). They have a program called "earn while you learn" where you watch videos about pregnancy and other things pregnancy related. You have to do worksheets with the videos and you have hw also. They give you what's called "baby bucks" to spend on stuff donated to them. A crib was 10 baby bucks. Maybe they have something like that where you are.
Walmart has some cheap ones
Facebook yard sale groups for your area, Craigslist and child consignment stores. Of course do research on the item to make sure its not recalled. I got a real nice graco convertible crib almost new (it goes for $300 brand new) for $50 from a Facebook yard sale group. :)
