help?

So I went in for my 30 week ultrasound, and she said my baby girl is already head down. And weighs almost four pounds. Is that normal at 30 weeks? Or could that mean I conceived earlier than they predicted? The doctor said my daughter is an overachiever. Does it mean she could come early?

Theres an online calculator that tells you the percentile for the baby weight. 4 pounds at 30 weeks in 59th percentile so is a normal weight. Sounds like the tech was just having a joke with you. :) best of luck. Xx

Thank you! I feel a little better. Because frankly, as much as I want my little girl here.. I'm not quite prepared and I'm actually a little scared

The radiologists usually read further into the sonogram (: then your doctor should be able to give you more details!

If your doctor or midwife isn't concerned than don't worry.

It was the ultrasound technician. She didn't even tell me how long my baby eas, or what percentile she's in. I was just worried, it's my first pregnancy

Was this the ultrasound technician? Or your doctor? Most babies are already head down at that time anyway, and her weight sounds perfect. If anything, she's perfectly on track xx
