I had a 9lb 5oz baby boy  and only tore a small amount

I had an 8lb 15oz boy n only tore 1st degree n heard plenty of ppl getting way worse tears with 6 and 7lb babies I believe my mom now when she says fat squishes.  But really size of babys head n shoulders and angle they come out factor in too

Haha I would caution you not to eat too much. The bigger baby is the more likely you are to tear or have a stalled labor. But those cheeks will come I promise! Especially if you nurse on demand.
