cloth diapers

I'm a ftm, 23w, and I've been thinking about trying cloth diapers. I have a lot of nieces and nephews, so I'm VERY familiar with disposable diapers, but I was wondering what everyone is planning, and past or present experiences with cloth? What types, brands, cost, etc. Thanks!

Thanks! I was convinced by a friend of mine who just had her third baby. She told me to go online to alvababy.com the pocket diapers there are cute and less than $6 apiece! I was so surprised, because I can't find any other sites for that cheap. She did warn me that they claim to be one size fits all, but it took her baby almost two months to fit into them at 12lbs. I was thinking maybe buy a few newborn covers and do flat or prefold until my little girl can fit into them...

I'm planning on cloth nappies as well. I've found a company that was featured in a baby magazine and won an award, they're $12.99 AUD each and to set up is about $399.

I'm planning on using flushable bamboo liners as well, just to pad up for runny bowel movements.

Depending on your country, I'd check the local stuff first, or stuff that ships within your country, just for a better deal overall.

If I was getting nappies from the states, it would be closer to $600 AUD.  So, find out currency conversions first, and look for nappy reviews. I know the one I'm choosing (Hippybottomus) has a good starter pack.

I've also gone cloth pads. Minky fabric feels amazing and breathable!! :)

We're cloth diapering. We're using tiny gdiapers for new born and prefolds with covers. Then we plan on doing the transition to pocket diapers.
