You're allowed up to 200 mg. a day. Studies have shown that that amount is safe. The bad side effects from one study show that over 3-400 mg. Of caffeine everyday can slightly increase your risk for miscarriage in early pregnancy.....that means you would have to drink like 6-7 cups of coffee a day. I drink it because i have migraines and it helps prevent them. My baby is fine and I'm currently 28 weeks. I also have a 4 1/2 year old that is fine as well.
