Yes, the weight gain is fine....equivalent to about 6.6 lbs....I'm 31 weeks and as of today have gained 14 lbs. Good tips from the others on trying to kick the cold/flu! Good luck!
I was having the same concerns I am just 5 months and have NOT gained ANY weight (well I think 1-2 lbs) but that was in my second month..... and i asked my dr if it is something i should be concerned about and he said NO.... that every pregnancy progresses differently..... So i would say that its not to much of a concern as of yet.....
roni28 has some good advice.... Vitamin C works wonders for colds... and unfortunately this could be just another lovely side effect of pregnancy..... hope you feel better!
During pregnancy I usually take vitamin C drinks to resolve these cold, cough and nasal symptoms. Believe it or not sometimes these are some signs of pregnancy. Nasal congestion or runny nose is a pregnancy side effect, however to minimize this try Emergen-C vitamin C drink. Its a powder you can add to water or orange juice and it can also be used as a dietary supplement. This will help your immune system especially with flu season coming. At 4 months you are on the right track not every one gains weight the same during pregnancy, but starting this month you will be gaining weight of atleast 1 to 2 pounds a week. If you have any more concerns start weighing your self at the same time every day wearing basically the same amount of clothing and keep a weight log, this can help ease your worries.
