For me, it felt like (sorry if tmi) having diarrhea really bad and not being able to go to the bathroom cause you're in a car in the middle of nowhere. The pressure, pain and waves of nausea were spot on for me. It was from the top of my uterus and slowly rippled down and went from one hip to the other.
Braxton Hicks can be painful but aren't consistent enough to be timed and wont go away no matter what you do. The real thing can stop you in your tracks, take your breath away, make you grit your teeth and when they're stronger you can't even think or speak through them.
